Purification Technician (M/F) – Enzyme Manufacturing

The Purification technician will be working in the enzyme manufacturing team to conduct internal production of our proprietary enzymes, one of the key reagents in DNA Script’s technology. Under general supervision of the Enzyme Manufacturing Manager and following written work instruction, you will be in charge of the weekly batch purification of enzymes and IPC (In Process Control). You will have also to perform other laboratory tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Production of enzymes according to work instruction (WI) and manufacturing batch record (MBR)
    o DSP stream tasks include HPLC, concentration, formulation and aliquoting
  • Preparing equipment by performing cleaning-in-place (CIP) and manual cleaning.
  • Preparing buffers in accordance with procedures.
  • Monitoring of in process purification
  • Initiating deviations as needed, reporting and solving problems and issues under manager guidance
  • Performing IPC assays in accordance with test methods
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of all work process
  • Participating in manufacturing team meeting and presenting technical report

Preferred experience

Essential

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in the field of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial / manufacturing experience
  • Experience with AKTA systems and UNICORN software
  • Good biochemistry knowledge
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good organizational skill

Desirable

  • Experience in purification of recombinant proteins
  • Good level in English (speaking, reading and writing reports)
  • Experience in ERP system (NetSuite / Oracle) and QMS

The Role : Fermentation Technician (M/F) – Enzyme Manufacturing

The Fermentation technician will be working in the enzyme manufacturing team to conduct internal production of our proprietary enzymes, one of the key reagents in DNA Script’s technology. Under general supervision of the Enzyme Manufacturing Manager and following written work instruction, your task will be to conduct the enzyme production in bioreactor from 5L to 150L scale and some downstream processing operations (harvesting, lysis, clarification). You will have also to perform other laboratory tasks assigned.

Main Responsibilities

  • Production of enzymes according to work instruction (WI) and manufacturing batch record (MBR)
  • o Upstream tasks include transformation, subculture, cell banking, shake flask growth, fermentation, cell harvest, lysis, clarification
  • Preparing equipment by performing cleaning-in-place (CIP), steaming-in-place (SIP), and manual cleaning.
  • Preparing media, feeds, and buffers in accordance with procedures.
  • Monitoring of in process fermentation
  • Initiating deviations as needed, reporting and solving problems and issues under manager guidance
  • Performing various QC assays in accordance with test methods
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of all work process
  • Participating in manufacturing team meeting and presenting technical report
  • Maintaining laboratory safety practice

Preferred experience

Essential

  • Be able to set up and run bioreactor in batch and fed-batch mode
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
