Human Biorepository Lab Operator – Research Assistant (F/M/D)
In the HBSO (Human Biosample Strategy and Operation) team, part of the Translational Biomarkers group, the candidate will have the following missions: human BioSamples management including the logistics, handling, traceability, storage and delivery of the human samples and associated data, in accordance with the quality standard defined by the regulations and the company’s policies.
TASKS:
The candidate will be expected to participate in human sample input/output activities in collaboration with the local Biorepository Manager and sample users.
- Organize shipping
- Organize and ensure receipt of human samples from external providers such as hospitals, in some cases in a real time manner (prospective collections)
- Verify compliance of human samples received (quality, regulatory documents, temperature, etc.)
- Ensure the registration and traceability of human samples on dedicated software, update information on samples
- Handle requests for human samples stored in the biobank and organize their dispatch with all stakeholders (incoming and outgoing)
- Basic handling of human samples (aliquoting, barcoding …)
- The candidate will be in charge the lab daily tasks: ordering the materials (labware, labels, consumables…) and the maintenance of the biorepository laboratory equipment (logbook update, annual defrosting of the freezers…).
- The candidate will participate in the writing of the associated operating procedures related to the human sample activity, and in the implementation of the GRP.
The successful candidate ideally has knowledge in the quality environment (GRP, ISO20387, NF S96-900, …), to help in the writing of working instructions.
The successful candidate will collaborate in a transverse international team in an exciting, fast-paced discovery-oriented environment:
- Collaborate with sample management, quality, human sample acquisition, bioinformatics and project teams
- Participate in global HBSO team meetings in English.
SKILLS:
- Experience in handling human samples in L2 lab is required, as well as knowledge of basic human samples preparation (plasma preparation, etc.).
- Experience in a biobank would be a plus, working with traceability software (LIMS, …)
- Knowledge of GLP and notions of GCP
- Knowledge of quality environment (GRP, ISO20387, NF S96-900, … ) would be ideal
- Ability to anticipate dysfunctions
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree in biology, ideally in biological resources management or with experience in handling/storing biological samples
LANGUAGES:
- French: written / reading / spoken is required
- English: written / reading / spoken is required
